| This product contains a CD-ROM only. You need the
original Transwhiz 9 product serial number to install this CD-ROM.
As MSDE (Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine) used by the Translation
Memory features of Transwhiz 9 is no longer supported by Windows Vista,
Transwhiz 9 Vista version adopts Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express as
the database component of the Translation Memory features.
If your computer with Windows Vista hasn't been installed with Transwhiz
9 before, then you can install the Transwhiz 9 Vista version directly.
The installation program will install Transhwiz along with Microsoft SQL
Server 2005 Express. You can run Transwhiz 9 normally after the installation.
If your Windows Vista is the upgrade from
Windows 2000/XP, and Transwhiz 9 has already been installed before the
upgrade, then you need to remove MSDE before installing Transwhiz 9 Vista
version. NOTE: Before removing MSDE from your computer, you should export
the data in translation memory to files using Translation Memory's Export
function if you want to keep the sentence pairs you added or modified
to the translation memory database. Those data will be lost after removing
MSDE. You can import those data from files to your computer using Translation
Memory's Import function after installing Transwhiz 9 Vista version.
How
to Export Translation Memory Data to Files
a. Run Transwhiz, choose 'Translation Memory', then 'Export from
TM' from Transwhiz's menu bar.
b. Choose name of the database you want to export and click 'Load'
to read its content.
c. Specify name of the file to save and click 'Export' to export.
|
How to Remove MSDE
from Your Computer
a. Run Control Panel. Choose 'Programs', then 'Programs and Features'.
b. Choose 'Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine' and click 'Uninstall'
to remove. |
